First of all, that conspiracy theory said NOTHING about the US administration being DIRECTLY responsible for 9/11, just that they did not do everything within their power to prevent it.

Basically, they allowed it to happen. 'They' being Cheney and his fellow power-hungry puppet-master hawks using Pawn Bush to push through their precious Patriot Act to enable them to have near unlimited powers of authority. They justify this as Cheney is in the last appointment of his political career and is known to have been a long-time proponent for increased executive powers, as he believed the powers of the presidency had been too watered down since the days of the Watergate scandal.

While it is just a conspiracy theory, it does explain plenty of the over-reaching ways the US took since the days after the war in Afganistan, where they had least retained some semblance of seeking international cooperation and obediance to internationally accepted military behaviour.

Not at all.

If any one claims they may be supporters / sympathisers of some terrorist organiations. It is quiet evident and very clear from the actions what these fellows (the involved ones) were aiming for!

I don't feel American Government is that much cruel or uncivilized to kill their own innocent citizens with such a menial act!

But one point was verymuch clear, what American Government was promising to citizens about the security is not worth praising! Once everything ended in a dilemma and Senior Government officials named it as "security failure"!
That is too much.

Binladin or any one else comes second in the picture.
Why it happend?
How it happend?
Is there any foreign country involved in this catastophic incident for a moment and withdrawn immediately after the conspiracy?

CIA is able to detect several misdeeds in some foreign land! Why they were uncapable of detecting something that was planned and executed in their own land?

Lots of doubts are yet to be answered!!!
Surely time will solve the doubts!

Osama is the result of USA's anti-USSR drive. Taliban was triained by US Army. It was totally a frankenstein affair. No, US government cannot do this to its people because US is a country which is more concerned about its people than any other country.

Isreali intelligence agency knew before 9/11 happened. It had apprised US government, but at that time US government thought there is no force superior on this earth than itself. CIA failed. Anyway, US had learnt that even it can also be attacked so brutally.

I'll admit...I'm a gutless flip-flopper. I've read the conspiracy theories, and there are SOME things that make me wonder (I mean look how much $$ some people in our administration are getting from this war and so forth, Haliburton, gas prices, the fact that Bush's popularity went to an all time high). There was alot of Hush hush going on, missing pictures, taken video surveilence cameras, that doesn't make sense to me. And to top it off, all the LIES, and the number of people who KNEW, and even brought it to the attention of those higher up (do we all remember Ollie North during that trial mentioning that we needed to keep an eye on Bin Laden??). HOWEVER, I would hate to think that people were sacrificed for this (tho it wouldn't be the first administration to bring up a plot like that, I think someone brought it up to JFK during his administration to get everyone's mind off of Cuba, but that dude was fired, if that's true). I'd like to think that citizens aren't being USED like that, 9/11 was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE day, a terrible act, and to me, will never be forgotten... but we need to learn from it, as politicians, as leader, as citizens...and not allow anything like that to happen again. **steps off soapbox and hands it to the next person in line**

How in the world could the US government set up such an elaborate plan without a single person knowing about it. Hundreds of pounds of explosives were just brought into the World Trade Center, walls were removed, concrete removed from steel girders, explosives tied to them, and nobody noticed.

there is evidence to suggest a conspiracy but the jury is still out on whether it is true or not...in the end it seems unlikely that such a well planned conspiracy would not have been more looked into if it had any real merit...if oliver stone doesnt see a conspiracy its a hard sell :)

I don't think Bin Laden would have said he executed 9/11 if he didn't, and why the hell would our goverment want to do that anyway?

I don't think so, but they just did let it happen.
I have seen Fahrenheit 9-11 several times and there is a lot of sense in that movie, of course there is nothing new I had not seen here in the news already, but the way its put together is good.

well their is alot of independent findings that point to something, and bin laden first said he didn't do it,but later said he did.i do think maybe the bush regime maybe knew something, you have to admit, his approval rating went very high,it started us on a road of questioning our constitutional rights,no doutd his people started getting rich, and what happened to the one person who had the balls to attack us on our own soil, how American is bush when he goes after Saddam Husein, and help killed thousands of people, yes Saddam was killing them, but not this great country of our, bush has soaked the hands of liberty with blood, and again wheres all the talk about bin laden, yeah yeah he's hidden up in the mountains, but we are in Iraq ans villages in Afghan.another place were bush has helped ruin innocent lives.so yes i think bush and his regime could have known and sat back and watched 3000 Americans die, hell its happening in 2 other country's and he do sent seem to care....

This is a popular conspiracy theory. I don't believe the government set it up or had info it was going to happen.
