Next time you change the oil in your car, pour the old stuff on it. That kills anything though so don't do it if you have grass growing nearby that you want to keep. Thats the lazy way to do it. You could also just dig it completely out of the ground like you said.

You dig them up, and send them UPS to me, in upstate South Carolina !! LOL I would give up my oldest child practically to get blackberries to grow in my yard! For some reason, they just don't like my soil. Just pull them out at the root, being sure you GET all the root if you don't want them to come back next season. Good luck!

Prune them back by half (to avoid getting more scratches than necessary), dig them out and then find some one to take them--berry plants are getting expensive these days and somebody would be thrilled to get them! (like me--if I had the space!!)

Why do you find that annoying? Blackberries are yummy! Why don't you make jam with them? Good and healthy for breakfast and, if you put it in cute jars, a great little present for small occasions like "get well" or "thank you" :o)

try ROOT OUT weed killer i did it got rid of 99% of mine in a couple of weeks
you can dig them out but those roots go on for miles
