The company provides leads and it is for debit/ATM cards, equipment, check processing, ect. It would be for either new businesses or existing ones. Is this a good, strong field to get into, or is bogged down or oversaturated somehow? Does anyone have any different or better suggestions?

It is only good money and I mean very lucrative if you do door to door sales. Go right to the businesses and sale them a new deal or better one.

Wow! Just think of all the small storefront businesses in your metropolitan area. Not all of them use the payment processing and they are very skeptical of cold calling because it always gives off the impression of a scam.

Door to door is the way to make the serious money in this business.

Best wishes!

It is a good opportunity providing you are a good sales person.

Sales usually comes naturally ( you can sell Ice to an Eskimo ) or sales can be impossible ( you CANNOT sell feminine hygiene to a woman - yikes).

Providing you have the aptitude to sell, this is a good market. I myself as a woman prefer to carry less than $5.00 in cash. I've been scared of being mugged, and just think cash is a dangerous thing. Consequently, I only provide business to places that will accept credit and debit cards.

There is a war going on with banks charging fee's for each debit card being used, but once a owner is educated about the importance of credit/debit cards, they typically find it valuable. Additionally, the market is expanding with existing customers like restaurants providing "Curb-side delivery" where you drive to a nicer restaurant (nicer than fast-food) and the waiter brings you food to the curve, and you pay with an electronic portable credit/debit card machine (wireless rules). So, you can work on up-grading many existing clients.

Good fortune to you.

I personally don't think there is much of a market. I, for example, don't want to pay hundreds or thousands for the equipment. I use PayPal because it's very easy to use, and the only fees are per transaction. No equipment to buy.
