When it comes to gifts from loved ones do you want:

THOUGHTFUL or EXPENSIVE and why?

I want something thoughtful. Any body can go out and buy an expensive gift without thinking about it. I want something that says you know I would love it and that is why you bought it. If it also happens to be expensive then I guess I'll have to live with it. I like gifts that come from the heart.

My high school bf used to buy me jewelry for every occasion. He never noticed that I only wear jewelry that I make myself. He never even asked why I didn't wear his gifts. That told me that he didn't care about me and was just buying crap without thinking. My mother did love all of the earrings and necklaces and bracelets though.

thoughtful, of course.
if someone spent a whole lot of money on something i don't like or would never use, it's a pity, because they didn't have to do that. a thoughtful gift is always better because it's the thought that counts. to know that they cared enough to get you something they thought you would like, other than a generic gift card to a generic place you like to shop at.

Thoughtful. The expensive things I am too picky about. I would prefer to buy those myself. Want to buy me a case of tennis balls?

thoughtful
It shows that they are thinking about you rather than just going some where on the spur of the moment to get jst anything that you might like.
