How your Sun plays out in your Natal chart depends upon where (what house) your Sun is in, the sign it is in (Aries) and what aspects in makes in your chart.
If the Sun is in your 12th house it can be "hidden". If it is aspected by Saturn, it can be "limited" in some manner.
The Ascendant (Leo) is always the first cusp house in the Placidus house system, which is the most commonly used house system in Astrology. The Ascendant, a point not a planet, does make aspects as well just like your Sun sign.
You really need to have your entire chart looked at to understand how it's all working together. All the planets are in signs, in houses and make aspects.

Hey- I'm an Aries with Leo rising as well. Funny- I've read all of the descriptions for both but I'm not outgoing, arrogant, or demanding of attention. Perhaps that has to do with my Taurus moon and other arrangements in my chart... but hey... try going to these sites. Hope they help!

Go to www.alabe.com. It will ask you your birth date and time and tell you about your rising sign and the characteristics. I am Aquarius and I have a Libra rising. I know Leo's are really outgoing and Aries is the perfect match with the aquarius horoscope.
