Hi!.Is this the first month u r missing your periods?...if not i would rather suggest u to get your thyroid checked. My thyroid problem started the same way...missed periods, though i had all the symptoms like u.You cud go to a primary care physician to get the test done. but if u have missed ur period only for a month now..then u can surely wait for some more time as missed periods may be due to stress and change in diet or weight. But if u still don't get them for 3 months then u should see a doctor to get your thyroid checked.hypothyroidism can cause amenorrhoea or lack of menstrual cycle as the necessary hormones become unavailable to complete the cycle. This conclusion is purely based on the fact that u said u r a virgin and u r not on a pill so the possibility of a pregnancy was ruled out.

You have Stated you are a virgin. Yet the symptoms you are describing sound like your pregnant. Do you have a boyfriend? Did he ejaculate anywhere near your vagina without penetrating? If he did you could be pregnant.

On the other hand if you are under a lot of stress or are havily into athletics that could have a big effect on your period. Its a double edged sword. You don't have your period so you get stressed out about it which in turn disrupts your cycle.

I believe a trip to the doctor is in order in any case. Make sure you tell him EVEYTHING, including if the boyfriend did as I described above.

Added after your comment about the Birth Control :

Honey despite your lack of money, your health is worth it. You can go to a local clinic. Where they might just have gyne services to assist you. Most of these clinics are free or near free.

If you need help contact me directly. I will be happy to help.

It can happen that way even if you are not pregnant. Try some herbal teas like Female Toner or Women's Liberty, check in a health food store for them. Your next period may be heavier than normal. If you are very worried, you could go to a clinic that lets you pay on a sliding scale. Just because you have no health insurance, that doesn't mean you can't get health care. I'm in the same situation. Also, if you have an IUD, that could prevent you from having "flow" and that's normal.

working out, stress, weight gain, birth control, and cysts are some of the things that can cause you to not have a period. You really need to see a doctor. You should try an find a low cost clinic if you cant afford a regular doctor. Usually if you look in the phone book under you county name you can find a low cost clinic through what ever county you are in.

Skipping your period could be due to any number of things. However, I would suggest seeing an OBGYN. If you are uninsured and don't have the money, call your local free clinic. One of their doctors can usually examine you at little or no cost.

ok first off your a virgian right so pregnancy is out of the question. you don't have insurance or the money to go to a gyno so look for a plan parent hood clinic in your area or a low income health clinic they can help you afford things for your health. some are even totally free. so try to find one and go see the doc there to find out whats wrong. good luck.

Heavy petting can result in pregnancy. Go get a pregnancy test. One of my friends had a baby an was a virgin but did heavy petting. It only takes one of those little swimmers to reach the egg.

Why haven't you been to a doctor? Or at least do a home pregnancy test!! If your periods are always normal, then you definitely need to see a doctor. Don't wait.

Oh...I'd call the gyno about this one. Unless you're on a birth control where a side effect is that your periods will diminish.
