You Don't!
If they have read them and then the person reading them has them marked as un-read there is no way to tell when you go to read them.
If you even in the slightest way suspect they are being read CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMINENTLY!

Yes, there is a way. Display "all" headers. This info will show date, time, to, from ... more.
Change your password. If your yahoo mail is still being accessed, you may have a key logger installed.

What are headers, and how can I display "all" versus "brief" headers?

When you open your e-mail you see the "In box" and number from e-mail they send it to you. If you read you don't see any number for e-mail, how many no more in your "In box". They are still in your In box so long you didn't delete. So when somebody read your e-mails, or you think somebody do that, when you open and see any numbers in your In box, than I guess somebody checking your mails.... Change your PW and e-mail address...

you can tell by the fact that they won't be highlighted as being unread anymore. but there is no way to know who did that unless you are a programmer.
