i have been reading and answering questions in a polite manner how come some people are so dang mean about things...in their answer it has to be because they can or shut up or something like that all i can say is if you don't like the question don't answer stop the hate.........

I'm convinced this happens because people on Yahoo Answers are mostly immature, juvenile, often adolescents, or if they are adults, they are still immature in their hearts and minds.
Also realize that a lot of what you see here is the "uncensored id" -- people ask things from the safety of anonymity behind a computer screen that they'd never dare ask in real life or face to face. So they say things here because they can get away with it. Doesn't make for 100% good times, though, does it?
It takes all of us, every single minute, with every single choice we make, to be peacemakers. Peace isn't some lovey-dovey concept out there or in the future. We can all work for peace now, this instant. But it takes a lot of maturity to be a peacemaker. You have to be mature enough not to just say whatever; you have to be thoughtful, have good manners, common sense, and have a good heart and mind uncluttered and unharmed by jealousy or envy or shame or guilt. You have to be able to treat others as you'd want to be treated. Every second of every day we can make peace on the earth... but most people won't accept the responsibility. They put that responsibility on others, like police or lawyers.
I have a feeling that when people are mean on here, that something in the question triggers a fearful ego response in them. Whatever you don't like in yourself, you can't stand in other people. And often people cannot stand weakness or fear in themselves, much less other people.
Keep asking your questions and ignore the bozos and other rude, immature, ignorant people. Just remember they're so wrapped up in their own egos that they cannot give you a sane response, so just discount what they say as being immature, insane and more about them by far than you. CONSIDER THE SOURCE!

I agree in most cases, but sometimes people piss me off when they are being bigots or just mean when they ask questions or make statements, Those people deserve mean answers.
Any other time, when people talk about grammar and like the answer #1, people are just acting foolish.
You just keep on being nice, it may catch on.

I agree with you...some people just never grow up..or have not grown up...u can always tell when they are lil kids or grown ups that are very immature....I ignore them but i know sometimes it makes me kinda mad at thier stupid answers.....maybe they just dont have nothing better to do ...or maybe they are wanna be bullies lol have a good day !!!
