I had only taken one " active " pill of my new pack before I had sex, and also used condoms, only to discover they had expired a few months prior. I took an HPT this morning, because I am really stressing that there could be a chance I am pregnant. The HPT Turned out negative......Since it has been so long since the last time I had sex, and haven't done anything since, what are the chances it was accurate?

I should clarify....I haven't missed any pills......I usually don't the placebo pills, just because I like a week of not having to worry about taking a pill every day. Now the first pill I took in the evening like I usually do. Then I freaked and took the 2 pill the next morning, and have continued taking them in the morning. But haven't missed any in this pack, or the one prior.

It's probably accurate. If you are on that space in the pack, you should start your period soon and then you will know for sure.

You're probably not PG.

BUt BC pills are to be taken daily, excpet for the week you have your period, if you have that kind. (Some packs haveyou take sugar pills that week; others you just skip a week of taking pills during the period week.)

You dont' take an active pill only when you have sex. That will NOT prevent PG, ok?! Take them daily as directed.

You should be fine. I didn't start my period until halfway through the placebo week.
