My first homecoming is coming up in 11 weeks and already ahve the perfect dress. My question is what is the proper (or popular) trend in wearing hosiery.
Are bare legs acceptable or does wearing hosiery make it look classier for a more formal occassion for this. I worn pantyhose before and dont mind it, but I dont want to look out of place being the only one there wearing hosiery or look old fashioned. I know bare legs at events like weddings seems to be a fashion no-no.
If hosiery should be worn, should I stay with pantyhose or go with something like stay-up thigh highs or even the stockings with garter belt? I never tried either of these, but know they are somewhat popular for some reason. I want to look classy, but also somewhat sexy.
And 1 last embarrassing question my friends have discussed with no answer. When wearing pantyhose, should pantyhose be worn with underwear under them, over the hose, or without any at all?
I always assumed the last was correct..

Pantyhose can look beautiful if you get the right color.
Depending on what color your dress is, they have silk hose with just a sheer color. Very classy look!
If you say, have a cream dress then I would wear a cream lacy underwear with some silk cream hose over them.
Even if you wear black, I have gotten black silk hose that are so shear you still see your leg through them and they are beautiful.
Let us know what color you are wearing if this doesn't help.

Most women wear pantyhose over panties which is like wearing 2 pairs of panties , I know. that's why stocking and hold ups are so popular now. For the classiest look, stockings and a garter belt are the best, because there is so much selection for stockings on the Internet, and they usually stay put better. Plus they are very sophisticated, and considered the ultimate in sexiness by most guys.
I would personally do stockings and a garter belt, but hold ups are the second best choice. Pantyhose are kind of old fashioned, no matter how you wear them,and they can be tacky and unsanitary when worn with no panties, which leaves you basicly with wearing two panties.

For homecoming I never ever wear hosiery because I think it is uncomfortable. I always use Jergens Soft Shimmer lotion on my legs and it looks like I'm wearing hose when I'm not.
If you do choose to wear pantyhose, I'd go without underwear. The last thing you want is panty lines.

Definitely go with the garterbelt and a some nice sheer stockings. Maybe something with a little sparkle in them. Make sure the toes are sheer too and go with a nice pedicure (french is best). With the open toe heels, you really be able to heat up any guy. I usually go like that to weddings, etc. It looks and makes you feel great and sexy!

If you want to be a big hit, I would wear sheer stockings, and a garterblet in a nice suntan color with some great heels. You will be comfortable, stunning and hip all at the same time not to mention sexy. Guys can't control themselves around stockings and garterbelts.

Wear pantyhose or stockings. Bare legs are so ordinary.
As far as wearing panties with pantyhose; that's a personal preference.
