You're in college, taking the last class you need before you can graduate. You must have a C or above to pass the class which is considered to be a 70%. You know you are missing two assignments and the teacher gives you a chance to complete them. Currently you have 445 points out of a total of 1000 points available and the two assignments are only worth 80 points together. There are 410 points that are available to you whenever the teacher is finished grading assignments that haven't been scored yet. But you'd have to get 100% on all of those assignments to get the full 410 points. Would you complete the two assignments you've not completed to be on the safe side or would you be happy to get a zero on those two assignments?

I work with college faculty and often they will give an extra bump to a grade for a student who truly shows they are giving their best effort. It will be worth it to do the assignments...show the extra effort and the prof will probably reward you.

Playing the numbers game is simply a losing proposition!

I would complete the two assignments to be on the safe side. Otherwise, you might have to push back your graduation to retake the class if you don't get the full points needed.
Besides, when you start working, you won't have the option of opting out of assignments and who knows, you might just end up using those assignments as evidence of your writing or thinking abilities in interviews

It would be much easier to do the two assignments than just to sit and worry about what will happen to your grade at the end. If you do the other assignments you have not completed, you won't be nervous at the end and do well on the last ones also.

If your teacher is giving you the chance, do the assignments and show her you are making an effort to do something about your grade. Looks good on you and you might get a better grade. Good luck!
