There certainly aren't any big scary monsters or enormous explosions, but it does build tension quite well and has a welcomed un-polished style to it that puts it above the majority of like minded films I have seen in a while. Wolf Creek definitely has the potential to scare.

Haven't watched it yet, but planning to (for Nathan Phillips rather than the plot!). I was a bit worried when I first heard about it - I'm going to be backpacking around Australia in 18mths! But it's so loosely based on the Snowtown murders and the serial killer Ivan Milat, that it shouldn't put anyone off travelling. As for it being a horror - it's nothing outrageous, and the stuff that happens is a bit unbelievable.......... give it a go!!

No it won't. I thought that'd be scary and y'know "based on a true story", but na ah, it sucks! Who told that true story anyway? Like a ghost? They just try to attract our (viewers') attention by stuff like that and sometimes it works. I've expected much more! Phbbbt! Vain expectations...

It's crap. Meant to be based on a true story, but how the hell they figured that out, when they all died and no one found any bodies, or anything!! Beats me!!

I hate horror movies, but my boyfriend insisted we watch it. Not that scarey. Gross, but not really scarey. No nightmares, nothing.
