Is it wrong to ware makeup?

my step mom said i cant ware makeup cuz it hides my natural beauty but i think i look ugly without it. what should i do?

It depends on your age. If you're under 12, all you need is chapstick to keep your lips from drying out. If you're 13-14, just lipgloss and maybe eyeliner and mascara. If you're 15+, you should be allowed to wear whatever.

Some people are born beautiful and some need a little help. I don't see any problem in using makeup as long as you use it thoughtfully. Don't overdo it to the point where your real face is hidden. Makeup is suppose to enhance your features. I would use lip gloss and some blush and then slowly add eye liner, mascara, eye shadow every year until I'm old enough to do whatever I want with my face and body.

Well it sounds like your already pretty without makeup...thats a real good thing. Not everyone can look good without makeup.
If you still want to wear some remember natural is best so maybe your best bet would be to curl your eyelashes and put some black mascara on, and wear a nautural color lipstick like a raisin or suntan and then some lip gloss.
If you do your makeup in a classy way they might just think it looks good.

No it's not wrong- but as long as your parents pay your bills you can't put up much of an argument. But you can sit your dad and step-mom down and tell them why you would like to wear make-up and what you would like to try. I'm sure you'll be allowed to wear a clear lip gloss and some mascara. And I think thats all the make-up most girls and women need anyway.

And if you have nice skin it is good to just ware natural colors such as shades of browns.So if you did ware natural colors your step mom might think it wouldn't look to bad.So good luck with your problem and i hope you will find a answer !!! ; )

Young people wear make up to look older, older people wear make up to look younger. Your step mom is probably right. maybe she would let you get a clear lip gloss and a gel cheek stain, like "Tartes in blushing bride". You just dot a little on the apples of your cheeks and it can be very natural looking and enhance your complexion. This also lasts a very long time.

Make Up is an over rated pain in the ***. Why bother. Seriously there is so much to do in life adding an extra thing like this is silly if you don't have to. I am 29 I use to beg to wear make-up. I got over it. It is soooo time consuming. Now I have house work. 2 kids. College coming up. No time.

I think that this depends on how old you are. In my opinion, you shouldn't wear make up until you are at least in high school. If you are in high school, it's not wrong unless you apply too much. Only use the amount you need to bring out, not cover up, your features and make them look nicer. I myself don't wear makeup but that is my two cents on it.

its not wrong its just wrong to her and who is she to tell you that shes not ur real mom buti guess she's an adult and know's so let it go until its no big deal anymore wear ur make up light and dont over do it make up isnt used to look like a barbie it just enhances. what u do is take her with u to the mall and go to a make up counter and get someone who works there to do it for you and she'll see how it can look and maybe agree to let u wear it b/c it will look like it should and not way overdone
