It means that you pinch your earring between your fingers and turn it around so the scabs in the earring holes don't get stuck to it. It will let your ears heal faster and they will hurt less. Just remember that when you do that use peroxide or another disinfectant so they don't get infected. Infections are no fun.

They tell you this after you get your ears pierced... you are supposed to twist the earrings(studs) in the holes every once in a while. Just so they don't get stuck in one place from the puss and goo.. (ok, sry that sounds gross, but it is true!!). And something I do is when I get an infection... I take a q-tip and rub some peroxide in the wholes. It feels so good and it clears up the infection. But only do it when necassary because it can dry out your skin around the earring. Make sure you clean your ears regularly because infections suck!! =)

It means you hold the outside of the stud between 2 fingers and turn it back and forth, it gets rid of scabs and stops skin from forming around the earring.
Do it 3-4 times a day.
And try to wash your hands. The skin is still healing and if your hands are dirty you could get a bad infection.

It means you use your pointer finger and your thumb to grasp onto the actual stud part of your earring (the part in the front that people see) and rotate it. This will make sure that your earrings don't "heal" into or get stuck in your ears. Remember to clean them too.

it means to rotate your stud earing.
I was told when I got a new peircing to rotate the stud a few times a day to let it 'breathe' but I have heard lately not and just to let it heal on its own.

if your ears have just been pierced then you will want to turn them to keep scabs from forming, when you do this, take a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alchol or peroxide (your choice) and dribble over the back of the earring when turning, also remove backing and do the same
