microbiology has a better future...there's more possiblities to make big money with biotechnology rather than with zoology. plus if some business man sees potential, then it'll be easier to get funding. microbiology impacts our life (in the industrialized world) more than zoology today (whether they know it or not) such as creating new medicines, understanding infectious diseases and how some diseases develop resistence to the treatments we have available, farming, pest control, safety of ocean water, food production...even solving some criminal cases.
what do u do after becoming a zoologist? work in a zoo, farm, try to discover new animals...? if u like animals & want to make good money then u should become a veterinarian. people pay ridiculous amounts of money to treat their pets.

It depends on what you want to do with your degrees. I would say that it would be easier to find a job with a bachelor's in micro than it would be with a bachelor's in zoology. Lots of chemistry in micro though. I would say either would be good if you were going on to grad school in those respective fields or if you were going on to med school or vet school or dental school. Lot of vets are zoology majors as undergrads. Choose the one you like (in your heart) but also think about what you are going to do with the degree.

Why don't you take a couple of classes and then decide. Microbiology requires a lot of biochemistry and zoology a lot of memorizing Latin names. At least if i remember correctly.
