Buy a box of tampax. get the light (smallest) ones. there are easy to follow directions inside the box and getting the light ones will be easiest since you have never used them before. You will have to change the light ones more often but it will be more comfortable. Just take your time and follow the directions carefully, try before your trip that way you at least have comfort of your own bathroom.

I wouldn't let this worry you or ruin your camp trip!!! I couldn't beileve some of the people that answered your questions. Tampons are not for everyone some people can't wear them at all they can cause lots of stomach pain and other serious problems.
If your period isn't already over by camp than it will be very slow maybe just some spotting. I have an inground pool and I swim on my light days. Water makes you stop bleeding so if it is light then you will have nothing to worry about.
Before you go find some very tiny pantie liners and that will make you feeel better about it. Noone will be able to see it. Good Luck and I hope you have a wonderful time at camp!!!!

Honestly, it isn't that complected. Get something with an applicator at first. The smooth plastic ones will be more comfortable. Don't us something like OB which doesn't have an applicator until you are more comfortable. Hold the tampon applicator at the base of the barrel (as close to the plunger part as you can get). Insert until your fingers touch your vulva and then just push the plunger in. Not that hard honestly . The worst part, and I am gonna try to brace you for this, is pulling it back out again. It will probably be uncomfortable or painful, but you will get through it as so many before you have. Don't leave your tampon in for more that 4 -5 hours.

It does not make a distinction which form of sanitary protection you employ - the blood will come out the two way. Tampons in simple terms soak up the blood on a similar time because it continues to be interior the vagina, on a similar time as pads soak up it after it exits the physique. Neither one stops the pass. There are professionals and cons to each, nevertheless. Tampons administration smell and unintended leakage, the place pads have a lesser danger of inflicting an infection (poisonous marvel syndrome). although, in case you employ the tampon sized to extra healthful your pass (heavy or mild) and placed on it now no longer than the advice on the container, the possibility of having TSS is a great deal decreased.

You will be fine.
You may even be done with your period in 4 days.
The easiest "starter" tampons are playtex - they have a smooth plastic applicator. I found tampax uncomfortable when trying to remove it.
There are instructions with illustrations in the box.
Don't get discouraged. My 1st time, I think I went through 2 or 3 just trying to get 1 to work.
Once you do it once, it's a no-brainer.
Good luck!

Relax, your period will be over by the time you go to camp.
Meanwhile, if you buy a box of "Tampax", the instructions are very complete, and they're what I used to figure it out.
Make sure you change them every few hours, you might start feeling really ill if you don't.
Cramping is normal but a bit startling when you're not used it. Your body is basically shedding, but on the inside. The cramps are simply your body's way of making sure that what needs to leave, will get moving toward the door.

You are in luck - pick out the tampon that you think you want to use - instructions are on the box and instuctions are included in the box with more detail. You can buy ones that are lubricated to help insertion and also with insertion applicators. GOOD LUCK and I hope you have a wonderful time at camp!@

Go to camp anyway. Use a pad till you get there if you need that, or a "lightdays" pad. Someone at camp will explain it to you. Don't be afraid to ask questions there. "Some" tampons have cause toxic shock syndrome and death so I'd be afraid to suggest that to you. Be sure and take extra underwear with you on your trip.

Oh girl its easy! You have to relax you muscles and just pop it in. It will feel a little strange at first but you seriously wont even feel it if its in the right place. Look at some anatomy books as to where it is supposed to sit if you dot know what is going on in there.
Practice a few times. Its not a big deal really.

I hate this is happening to you but I would not use a tampon unless you are sure of how to insert and remove it. You may have to skip over the swimming and have fun in other areas.
