I'm no Conservative but every president we've had had been idiots while in office. Bill Clinton could not keep his pants zipped. Father Bush screwed up in the Gulf war by not finishing it, Carter screwed up in the Iran rescue mission, Nixon got his hands caught in a cookie jar (Watergate), Reagan was asleep most of the time, Ford was temporary and did not count, Eisenhower thought he was still fighting in Operation Overlord, Kennedy just made a whorehouse out of the White House, Truman screwed up about Korea, Roosevelt just did not have any choice.

How bout peanut farmer Jimmy Carter? He started all the unrest in the middle east by undermining the shah of iran when he was in office. If not for him there may actually have been peace in the middle east.
