WHEN IM DRIVING IN A HIGHER AMOUNT OF SPPED. MY CAR WILL SOMETIMES TUG BACK AND THEN GO SLOW AS IF ITS STUCK IN A LOWER GEAR.AND SOMETIMES IM AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND HAVE TO STOP THEN ITS TIME TO DRIVE, IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO PICK BACK SPEED. ITS A AUTOMATIC. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS CAUSING THIS?

dont listen to superwoman. it could be many things, probably a throttle position sensor if its engine related or something is wrong in the trans, it really depends on what kinda car it is. i would recommend taking it to a local shop (NOT a stealership) and have then look it over.

it sounds like you have a electrical problem in your transmission, probably a speed sensor. when you get up to speed, your computer loses it's signal to the speed sensor and doesn't know what gear to be in, so by default it puts it in 2nd or 3rd depending on what kind of car you have. It stays in that gear until the signal is present again and the computer resets.

try to increase your engine idling. u might have to take it to a mechanic for this. 10 mins job. not expensive
