Well, I wasn't afraid to do it but a few years back I was on a street corner waiting for my dad to pick me up.

I saw this black puppy dog (looked like a Boston terrier mix, I think) and he was running down the sidewalk with a collar and license but no leash. Sometime later, I saw two bicyclists ride down the street.

I found them at the nearest street corner near a semi-busy intersection. I asked the bike riders if the dog belonged to them and they told me no.

I had a cell phone with me so I dialed the number on the dog's license (his name is Winston). A little kid answered the phone and I asked him if he was missing a dog and he said no.

Puzzled, I thought perhaps that the dog's owners have moved so I tried again. This time I said "are you sure you're not missing a dog because we found one named Winston on a street corner." The kid immediately recognized the name and went to get his mom.

I gave all the details to the woman to go pick Winston up. She came by in a tan-colored pick up truck. She told me that the kids left the gate open when they weren't supposed to and the dog got out. She also informed me that the kids had to WAKE HER UP FROM A NAP just to get the dog. Her tone of voice seemed quite irritated.

Thankfully, Winston never ran out into the intersection. We would know the consequences if he did. In my online diary that day I wrote that I "saved the world." LOL.

Well, I was camping last weekend and I saw a bear attacking this little boy scout in the woods. I was scared to death but I just knew I could not sit there and watch this poor boy get mauled by the bear. So, I sprang into action! I ran straight up to the baer and drop kicked him in the face. (just the same way my friend Chuck Norris talk me to) The bear backed off for a minute then cane charging at me! We fought for about 6 or 7 minutes until I picked up a HUGE bolder and smashed it on top of his skull.
I then looked over at the boy who was lying injured on the ground. He told me he got lost from the rest of the group while they were hiking through the woods. I picked up the boy and walked 20 miled through the woods to his campsight. They were thrilled that I brought him back. He is ok now.

I was afraid for my life, but I just knew I had to do it!!!!!

i went into a burning house to try to save a small child trapped inside. the house was in a very remote , rural area. no fire dept, nearby. hysterical mother outside. me and a friend of mine stopped. we went in from 2 doors and next a window. unfortunaely, we couldnt get to or find the child. the fire was too big and hot. i knew the mother, didnt know the child.

after it was over i realized how dangerous what we did was. i didnt think about it at the time it was happening.

it was a very upsetting thing, i still think about it sometimes.

oh, yeah. the volunteer FD finally got there. we put the fire out. the house was mostly gone. we found and recovered the body. my friend was the one who found him, i was looking in a what was left of another room. every time i see the mother , i go the other way. the memory is too bad for both of us.

this happened about 10 years ago. it was in the winter time. i was told the next day, the mother had left the child, about 2 years old, in a room with a kerosene space heater. the child evidently turned it over and the fire started. the mother had gone outside and walked a distance down the road for some reason. when she returned the house was on fire.

another thing about it. this is probably more in the category of bad judgement or lack of knowledge than bravery. when the fire was put out to a degree that we could go back in, me my friend and one guy from the VFD( the VFD consisted of a truck circa about 1962 model and 3 men that just happened to be available) went back into the house. it was about ankle deep in water, the water was black with ash and soot, the ceiling insulation and all kinds of material was everywhere. we were on our hands and knees feeling around the water trying to find the child. i looked around ther were electrical wires with the insulation burned off of them lying everywhere. they were hanging in mid air, they were in the water. we never got shocked, evidently the fire had shorted out everything. there was a propane tank, about a 200 gal tank, not 15 feet behind the house. it never blew up. we were lucky that we were not killed or injured. it still scares me today when i think about it.

I killed a snake and am terrified of them. The bravest thing I have ever done is follow a women in a parking lot that was beating the fire out of her 2 year old. I was afraid if she got her in the car and drove away she would kill her. I was also scared that she had a gun or other weapon in her car. But the police came and though she threatened to kill me she didn't.

Two gang members were beating up an old man, I stepped in to protect him, and beat the crap out of both. It was 1994 and I had just gotten my second belt in Tae Kwon Do. it was very dangerous but I pulled it off.

Recently... nothing, life's been pretty tame.

Ever: I pulled a guy out of a wreck after he slammed into a concrete barrier. I kept him talking until the ambulance arrived. I ever put my coat on him to keep him from getting too shock-y.

We packed up everything we owned and drove over 1000 miles to live in a city we've never even visited. We are Hurricane Katrina survivors. We had nowhere to live and heard they were holding an apartment for us, so we went.

My brother fell in the bayou once and the current swept him away. I jumped in to save him. I fought the current and held onto him. We managed to get out as I grabbed a concrete bridge pole. We were pre-teens when this happened. I was scared to death but when I thought he would die or that We might die my adrenaline kicked in and saved us both.

I am afraid to be alone and single. I was suppose to move and be closer to my ex-boyfriend and I quit my job and he was going to pay my bills, but he started being a controlling jerk so I broke up with him.

Now I am starting over on my own.
