mistiaya: I'm sorry you had a bad experience and couldn't breastfeed but you need to understand that this is the reality. Breastfed babies get a lot more benefits, nutritionally and emotionally. It's not meant to make you feel bad. Just because some mothers couldn't breastfeed and feel bad doesn't mean that studies on breastfed/bottle-fed babies should be stopped. Again, sorry you went through this and the article is meant to be informative and not to offend bottle feeding moms

Thanks for sharing the link. I'm glad they are doing more and more studies on the affect of b'fing cause it will promote the many benefits. It goes to show you that "breast is best" and the most natural thing for a mother to do. Just wish society would recognize that.

Wow...thanks so much for the article. One of the things that I worry about most is having an anxious child, because I tend to be very anxious myself (hence the WORRYING about having an anxious child! LOL!) Makes me feel better that atleast I am doing one thing that may help her with that in the future...and ugh! I cant believe that last person's comment about being obsessed with breasts and that being filth! Wow! That is crazy! How is breastfeeding filthy? People's minds are so warped! Had to throw that one in!!

that's a tough one....and makes some mothers feel bad when their childs birth was extremely traumatic and their bodies aren't with the program and never really start to produce milk.

me being one of those mothers.

so that article is kinda discouraging for those of us that did not even have a possibility of breast feeding.
