Assuming there is a "life after death" you are theoretically correct. So far there is no firm evidence of this, so it's more a matter of faith.
People who believe the "life after death" idea can be dangerous, though, because it makes it easier to become a murderer or a suicide bomber. Can you imaging a world where everybody tries as hard as possible to blow themselves up quickly so they can get to heaven quicker (and "wake up")? Why have kids then...just have them in heaven. This sort of thinking leads to the end of human life on earth, which makes no sense. No animals act like this, they want to live, so I think your whole value structure is wrong.

No, there is no waking up after we die. But I think most people live their lives as if they are asleep. They don't think for themselves, and allow others to mislead them into thinking and believing ridiculous things, like this life doesn't matter, you can have 49 virgins in heaven if you kill in the name of God, etc, etc....
So don't sleep anymore. Wake up and make good use of your time and your life right now.
