I was on it for a year, and had my period the ENTIRE time! EVERY DAY!
I was a mega b*tch, very moody, NOT in the mood for sex, and downright miserable. The shot every 3 months was very convenient, but the trade off was not worth it for me.

I was on it for 2 and a half years. I never had a period the entire time that I was on it but it caused me very serious headaches and I gained wieght like crazy even with a lot of dieting and ect. The best thing to do is talk with your doctor because there are a lot of side effects that could happen with Depo. FOr example... some women have a period flow everyday that they are on the shot.

well, you will gain a little weight, loss of libido, your whole menstral cycle gets completely screwed up. you will still have the effects of it just usually at any random time. and the big one is it speeds up bone loss so you're advised to take calcium supplements. i'm on it now and that's all i can think of sorry. the doctor will give you several pages of side effects and information.

my hubby is on the home depo shot...side effects include an empty wallet and a full garage....

Yes, I was. I didn't have a period (loved it), but I did gain 45 pounds in a year (hated it) even with normal dieting or eating.

yes i had it a while ago and i bleed the whole time (3 months) urgh was horrid. I will never have it again pill for me from now on.

i was on in bleed the whole time. had sever depression. i gained weight. mood swings galore. i hated it i just messes you up totally. sexually, physically and emotionally.
