Yes and no. While there are a lot of songs that are now being classified as just about everything there are still some songs that are definatly one genre or another, you're not gonna claim that Metallica is every country music or Bethoveen punk rock. I think as the years go by more and more will fall into the everything pile but we will still have things that are known as one genere alone.

I dont think its merging, its just kids who need to be like every-body, AKA: Posers, listen to everything, so when u look at top downloads, its a f***ed up mess, so they just combine s**t, to make everything less confusing

well rock and rap music didnot stand strong so now there is rock/rap. and country did not stay true to its self so now there's country/rap and country/rock.
but one type of music that wont die is PUNK!!!!! ROCK ON MOTHA F****** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they play it on the local alternitive rock station, hip hop station, and the pop station!!.... idk y?... its weird!
