GRR!! I can't believe some of these people can be so ignorant!!
Of course you can be Christian and be goth! Trust me, I know quite a few gothic Christians!
Clothes, and music have NOTHING to do with your soul.
Only a cursory search of Google will tell you that there are PLENTY of Christian goths out there!
I've included some links for you to look at, please see the "gothic.net" link, if you need some proof that Christians are accepted amongst "average goths". I think you'll find that the gothic community is probably THE most tolerant subculture in the U.S...as long as you are also tolerant (i.e. don't try to shove your religion down other's throats, which is why some non-religious goths are wary of Christians), than you will be accepted.
You might find some Satanic "Christian-haters", every once in a while, but they are far and few between...and generally laughed at! ^_^

Being a 'goth' can mean various things. Some people think being a goth is wearing black, listening to Marilyn Manson, or more so emo these days and worshiping Satan. Of course 80% of society has no ******* clue what they are talking about 90% of the time. Goths don't have a certain religion that they all follow. Many are wiccan, many are atheist, some are christian, jewish, muslim and etc.. As a goth, I can't believe you are worried about what someone else thinks. Of course, the new wave of goth kids is a lot different than the old-new wave and the original wave. Hopefully you've heard of Bauhaus, one of the quintessential goth bands. They sing about many christian topics. There's also a band named Christian Death. Rozz Williams the singer converted to Christianity later in his career. I think the problem is that because of themese used in medieval times to portray good christian people, many people still associate those who wear black with the devil.
On another note a satanist does not worship the devil. There's a large difference between a devil or satan worshiper and a satanist.
I love the answers below as well. It shows some real smart people live in this country. Such assumptions about something you've never been personally involved in or have had any experience with. If a 'christian' is going to judge you because you wear all black and they THINK you worship satan then they really shouldn't be a christian in my opinion. They are severly out of touch with what's truely evil in this world. It's so funny that people believe good and evil are somehow color coded just for them like the wires on the back of a tv.

You can be a Christian and Goth at the same time! Being Gothix has nothing to do with religion once so ever. Here is the defenition of Goth to clear the air for some of the previous people who answered this question!
Goth is a contemporary subculture prevalent in many countries. It began in the United Kingdom during the late 1970s to early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from nineteenth century Gothic literature, mainly through horror movies.
The goth subculture has associated "gothic" tastes in music and fashion. Gothic music encompasses a number of different styles. Common to all is a tendency towards a “dark” sound and outlook. Styles of dress within the subculture range from death rock, punk, Victorian, androgynous, some Renaissance style clothes, or combinations of the above, most often with black attire, makeup and hair.

Goth does not mean you worship Satan. That is ignorant. Goth is now considered a fashion style, type of music and a liking for the off beat.
So yes, you can be both. How you look doesn't/shouldn't have match your beliefs.

Sure, why not? Goth is a fashion and a style of music/dancing, mostly. What with all the crosses and stuff they wear, you'd think a Xtian goth would fit right in.

Sometimes. What do you wear when you go to church? Do you wear goth clothes instead? Because if some christian ministers saw you like this, he or she wouldn't think you are a christian believer. You can be gothik and a christian at the same time. Maybe it won't matter, but you need to prove christian ministers that you are a god believer not a satin believer. I myself too is gothik long ago then I stopped becomming one.
