I love it when my boyfriend plays with my hair ... especially in the shower ... !
My little girl on the other hand is only 4 and when she gets a brush in her hand she goes crazy ... I end up with more knots in my hair then I began with ... so I keep the brush away from her for now ... haha ... !

I had a Major Insight about this recently.
We have two daughters who, when they were little, always used to ask to have Daddy brush their hair, because I was so careful to make sure I never hurt them. I'd always hold their hair in one hand and work out the tangles with the other, slip my fingers between the strands to loosen the knots, and take the time get their hair silky. It was a great father-daughter time with them when they were little.
My wife, on the other hand, always seemed to brush their hair like she was trying to knock a spider off the other side of their head.
I have heard from other friends that THEIR daughters prefer to have Daddy brush their hair too, for much the same reason -- Mom acts as if she's Anna Kournikova and the kid's head is a tennis ball. (My own mom was more like Babe Ruth -- I swear she'd take the hairbrush and point it in the direction she wanted my head to go over the fence.) But my great-grandfather was a barber for 50 years, and when I was five or six he used to cut my hair when we'd visit. And every time, he'd comb it out very carefully and with what I look back on as real love.
So one morning not too long ago, my wife and I were lying in bed and I was idly playing with her hair. I carefully took out her ponytail holder and just lightly stroked her hair, taking strands between my fingers, spreading it over the pillow and gently loosening the tangles the way I used to do with my girls when they were little...
...and the way I used to do with my girlfriends' hair when I was in high school and college...
...And it dawned on me that it's all tied together:
Dads brush their daughters' hair more carefully because if a guy DOESN'T learn to brush a girl's hair carefully by the time he's dating, no girl is ever going to give him the opportunity to be a dad.

I LOVE my hair being played with.It's one of my favorite things in the world!!But if a child started doing this and I liked it, Think I would need to be locked up!!
