I know there are a lot of people who can use the airbrush with some skill pandabunny but i personally think art should be more than that.

colourshift, do you think it is a tool because people are thinking of it and using it as a tool? Maybe it could be a style

It would be nice if artists would think outside the box

Bear in mind that an airbrush is merely a tool...and it's whatever the artist brings to the table is most of what the piece will come out like. Perhaps there's not many that think outside the box, restricting themselves with what they're working with.

Lots of fine art out there that's secretly 'airbrush'...galleries in the US tend to cringe when they hear airbrush...but in Europe & Japan...different ballgame.

There are a lot of talented airbrush artists out there. As for style, what exactly are you looking for?

Duane Flatmo has always been one of my favorite airbrush artists, and he also lives in my hometown.
Plus, he plays the mandolin with an eggbeater.

Check out www.hrgiger.com and related websites.

He's the guy who did the designs for the first Alien movie. He is, probably, the best airbrush artist on the planet.
