I'm straight and I answer gay questions sometimes. My best friend and one of my sisters are gay, so when I feel like I have something to offer the conversation I'll put it out there.
But then, I'm not just throwing down a bunch of insults and running off, either.

I admit I'm sometimes guilty of answering questions directed to gay people but I never say anything judgmental or mean like that. I always just try to give my POV on whatever they're asking and I try to be as helpful as possible.
But I do, on some level understand what you're talking about. I have seen people answer just to say stuff like you just pointed out and IMO they answer because they're secretly intrigued by the lifestyle and have a problem with that part of themselves.

i guess people do it because they cant help their curiosity. For example, you'll see a question directed to any sort of group or a sex and different people will answer, you can see this going on in the religion section. What anyone does or what their preferences are is completely up to them, being gay doesnt make you any less of a person... its just hard it being an open forum.

But isn't it true that there's a little bit of gay in all of us? I'm sorry, I'm being silly.
They either misunderstand the question, or they are ignorant or just very rude and inconsiderate.
I'm not gay and I'm sorry I answered this question, but I do not think it is okay for people to bash each other.

A good question. I always find it Queer that these "straight" people find the gay topic so Hard to deal with--why they think about it so much if they are not interested in it. Actually, I think they think about it so much because they are closet cases, nobody spends time thinking about things that they are not interested in.

I didn't know if I should answer this. Is it intended for gay people only?

i think youre so right. its just that straight people want the attention gays have, plus they think they can answer whatever questions they read. they fail to realize that they dont know what theyre talking about, and they certainloy dont even try to understand gays, therefore they dont respect them, and answer questions that werent inteded for them.
