shef is out untill at least september

Matsui says he can come back before Sept. Sheffield by 9/1.

Both will probably be back before the year is over, but you have to be suspicious of this kind of injury. Hitters take a while to totally recover from a wrist injury like this. Just look at Derrek Lee. He comes back for a few weeks, then he's on the DL again. I don't expect either of them to be productive for the rest of 2006.

Hidecki was at the surgeon today and felt some soreness in the wrist. Its not a set back they just don't want him to start it up yet. You might see him by the end of August. Sheffield might be longer. They aren't even projecting when he can resume workouts. He might be back by the end of September.
We really don't need them now.

Sept. 1 is for Sheffield and I think I heard Matsui will be coming back sometime this month. I really, really hope they come back soon!!!! I miss them!!!!!!!
