I live in Halifax Nova Scotia and I have been watching Crosby in local rinks since he was 14...
He always has been a phenom, totally dominating the leagues in which he was usually underaged to play in. I believe he will continue to dominate and be a legend.. I don't necessarily think he'll overshadow Ovechkin or vice versa.. I think they can both dominate the league and break lots of records, and hopefully help the NHL to become what it used to be.... a buncha guys (mostly canadian boys) who love the game and are living out their dream, happy to be doing it.... not a bunch of greedy motherfuckers who go on strike because they're going to get paid 8 million instead of 12 million per year. That made me sick!

Sid the Kid had like almost 40 pts in the last 15 to 20 games of the season. Crosby is going to be great he has the ability to break some records and to just be that true great Legend of Hockey. Ovechkin is another great young player and will also be great throughout his career, but he will not be as great as Sid the Kid. just the way Sidney Crosby sees the game and what he does to make it look so easy does are the signs of a true Legend of the game that we love so much, and the greatest game ever in the world.
GO HABS GO
DAVEYPA-22--- MARIO LEMIEUX HAD 100PTS HIS ROOKIE YEAR ALSO, AND CROSBY BEAT LEMIEUX BY 2 PTS.

I agree, it may be another situation like Wayne Gretzsky and Mario Lemiuex. Two great players, which both have impossible names to spell, but there will always be an argument who was better. Being a Penguins fan, I'd say Mario was the better haha. I think Crosby will be a force to reckon with in the future. It took Mario more than a year to score 100 points in a season, Crosby did it in 1 and for a terrible team.

Yes, Sidney Crosby is going to be a legend. He is the second youngest player in the history of the NHL to get 102 points before the age of 19. What does that tell you? From the first time that I saw him play I just knew that he was something special and from that day on he has imprssed not just me but everyone who watches hockey.

No doubt about it....with Evgeni Malkin coming on board...add a few more supporting players...the team will become a powerhouse in their division...he'll go far.
