Hi
Well i would say the fiat.. i own a fiat 650.. Well hey you may laugh and say 'what the hell for'.. listen up.. i spend some of my holidays in Poland and where we live you either need a range rover to get to the house or a fiat 650.. Its an awesome little car, aside from its liability to rust just seconds out of the factory it is very durable and parts over there.. well lets just say that i replaced the engine for 50 quid.. its the ultimate little rally car with rear wheel drive and low centre of gravity..
Anyway back to the 500, I recall my parents once telling me that they saw 5 fat italians crammed into a fiat 500, having just done the journey from Italy and touring around central london, Luggage rack on the roof totally laden down but the little thing just kept on going.. absolutely brilliant..

Depends what your criteria are.
I'd say the Fiat 500 slightly ahead of the 2CV (but the Dyane doesn't get a look in).
James Bond may have driven a 2CV, but Gordon Murray (the engineer behind the McLaren F1) owns a 500.

FIAT 500 has just been voted sexiest car of all time on Yahoo!
Michael Schumacher has one. The tunning company Abarth made some really fast ones - there is a company in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire who restore and race them.
2cv has more room but is one of the worst cars for emissions.

I'd say the Fiat. the 2CV was known for a lot of mechanical hickups (great chassis though). the fiat was built so simple that it is hardly impossible to wear one out.

Both are greats in terms of style and engineering for their time. The 2CV has the edge though.

I vote for the 2CV - I loved mine - lots of character and much roomier than the Fiat 500.

Both, But the Citroen 2CV had a charm and robustness for such a tinny little car. Very endearing.

They are both lovable little old ladies. Who said they're junk? They have passed the test of time. They were made to last, and they did. Today's cars won't manage it - they're usable and diposable.

I'd go fo the citroen, easier to work on, parts are plentiful and you can roll the roof back in summer or to get stuff in.
