I can use the instant messenger, but none of the links work. I can't get to my e-mail or profile or anything unless I do it through my regular web browser. When I try through yahoo, I get a 'config/reset/cookies............. at the top of the page and end up with a 'Connection Timed Out' after it sits there for a while. Nothing will load all of a sudden.

I have tried the refresh and it doesn't help. I've also done the delete cookies and empty tempory files thing from the internet tools option. I can't even re-download Yahoo because none of the yahoo links work for me.

This is what I end up with no matter what and it's been going on for 2 days, so the try again doesn't help.

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://360.yahoo.com/

The following error was encountered:

Connection Failed
The system returned:

(110) Connection timed outThe remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

thanks to everyone who gave advice, I do appreciate it. I ended up un-installing and re-installing yahoo and now it's working just fine, for the time being anyway ;)

◙ Windows messenger crashes a lot and has but a few features. Yahelite on the other hand almost never crashes and has so many features it will wear you out setting them all up. It also works in many different languages.

I had the same problem. Try restoring your computer to an earlier time (such as when you weren't having any problems) Click on start, go to control panel, click on "performance and maintenance". Once there, in the left window you will see "system restore". Click on that. Then follow the prompts. You know when your computer was running correctly, so pick a date. You may have to restart your computer, but at least it will be functional again.

Sherrie, I have a similar problem with my YM. It disconnects when I'm talking to someone and/or quits. This has been going on for a little over a year and is soooo annoying. I can't even delete buddy names or use the newer emoticons. I couldn't email from it or use the webcam. When I get my Macbook, I have that resolves that problem. As for yours, you're best bet is to contact Yahoo and your ISP for the problem.
