What type of person is considered being a Liberal and why does everyone complain about liberals?

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Shindler would have been a liberal in 1941 Germany. Like to today in America the Nazi had a firm grip on the populous. Anyone wishing to be a good German joined the party, attended the rallies, and sent your boys to Adolf Hitler School. If you were a boy you dreamed of being in the SS. You didn't guestion your government or your fuehrer. Surely they knew what was best for you than you did yourself. If you questioned the government in any way, not only were you viewed as a traitor, sympathizer, or colaborator. Any of which could get you sent off and shot, or maybe gased. When the Governenment of 1941 Germany said those Jewish people, homosexual, gypies, and minorities were a scourge on the face of the country and needed to be done away with. You didn't question if it was wrong to gas a Jewish baby. You said sure lets do it and how quick can we get it done. Same as today no one wants to question Caesar and his court as to why the need to kill Iraqi women and children who are not doing the fighting. To have a spine and question the government instead of being a spineless automaton drone. Gets you labeled a liberal. Because those automaton drones are so afraid that the boogie man is right out side the bedroom door because thier government lied and told them. They could care less what suffering happens to them "over there" so long as they are safe and free to drive ther gas guzzling SUV to Starbucks and get their double mocha latte every morning.

It's an epithet invented by precusors of Anne Coulter. "Everyone" doesn't complain about "liberals", only those consumed with greed, who wouldn't mind people on the other side of the tracks sick, uneducated and dying.

It may be that in your (right-wing?) community people believe that it is just that they pay no taxes. Ironically, they have supported a government that has concentrated wealth in the top 1/10 of 1% of the nation, and those super-rich are living in penthouses and gated communities and won't be hobnobbing with you and your neighbors. They have, with their Bush voodoo economics, justified deficit spending on such a scale that the dollar, sooner or later, will collapse. (Buy a wheelbarrow now.)

They heap scorn -- and call "liberal" -- anyone who points out that the Emporer is wearing no clothes. Yet, there are cracks in their façade because, having for so long justified the Iraq escapade, even conservatives now see that it is a lost cause.

So the logic of their polarization of politics has failed them.

I'm a lifelong republican. But, since I am agast at Bush's foreign policy, the republican's lack of fiscal responsibility, poor management of so many things in the govenment, and critical of the administration- supporters of his are quick to label me a "Liberal" as if it's a dirty word.

This administration is unprecedented at being partisan and devisive. Creating rifts in america like we haven't seen since the civil war.

It's like labling someone a 'communist' in the 50's. So, anyone that doesn't stand with us, is a Liberal.

So- that's why you have (in the last few years) seen the rise in 'complaints' about Liberals. It's all political 'spin'- and very effective. Some would say- 'evil'.

Liberals work tirelessly to put political obstacles in the way of US and the western worlds efforts to stop various genocides. From getting us inappropriately out of Vietnam when we were crushing them (over a million put to death afterward) to supporting first the nazis and then the soviets and then the chinese during their genocides (hundreds of millions put to death) to what happened in cuba, north korea and points south. To the attempt to get us out of Iraq in the hopes that a bloodbath would take place. To the current propaganda against Israel with the intent to delay action until Iran gives nukes to Hezbollah....liberals have an OCEAN of blood on their hands. They are sick and evil MONSTERS,

Oh to answer that f ucker above, liberals don't practice dissent, they practice treason and sedition. These are crimes, not free speech. When you engage in a well funded and aggressive campaign to spread lies and propaganda to aid our countries enemies, especially in a time of war, that is definitely not free speech. Two generations ago, that would have gotten you arrested, possibly executed.
