Nilu, i think you are asking about preparing for CAT examination, right?
MBA entrance exam's has different section's
1. Verbal Section
2.Analytical Section
3.Logical Section
1. Verbal section:
Preparing for this section, you need to do lot of reading so that you make yourself strong in reading comprehension & grammer. By reading a lot you r building your vocabulary. Go to basics, make your grammer strong(Renn & Martin). Newspapers (Business papers & magazines, papers like Times Of India for news other than business) & by reading papers you built your general knowledge which will be useful for some MBA entrance exams like XLRI, SNAP).
2. Analytical Section:
Make your basics strong. These section doesnt have higher maths ( 9th & 10th level NCERT maths). To score in this section all you need to do is to practice it everyday. Practice number crunches. Robin Sharma's book on preparing for anlytical section teaches you fast way of solving exams.
3. Logical Reasoning:
Data interpretaion & Logical reasoning is the main division in this section. TIME education & IMS preparation guides are good for this section.
Join MBA preparation forums like Ascent education.
Join some training institutes like TIME, IMS, Ascent etc.
Once you do all these & clear your exam, you'll be pushed into next level of interviews.
Level 2: Group Discussion
Level 3: Personal Interview.
Clearing these will get into holy world of IIM. :-) Too much of praise.

exams--- CAT and MAT if you are determined to go for MBA, do start when you have left two years to complete graduation. It is the best start to take.
