Hello, Even though my first high schoo homecoming is 11 weeks away, I alreayd ahve the perfect dress. I want to realy style it up by wearing high heels with it. Probelm is, I tried on a pair of my older sistersones a few weeks ago and I was very wobbly. I dont know if it was because they were too high, or because her shoe is 2 sizes too big, or if it was because I was on carpet, or if I am not doing something right??? Would wearing one with an ankle strap add stability or even something like knee high boots? Am I not walking right? How high of hels can one wear before it gets too hard? I worn like 1.5" heels before, but want to shed the conservative catholic middle school image.

I really want to be able to wear the tall spikey heels like I see alot of other gals do with almost no effort. How do I get there?

wear them all over the house and make sure to practice walking on both carpeting and hard floors (tile). go up and down stairs. whenever i buy a new pair of heels, i wear them around the house for a week and even do my cleaning wearing them. helps a lot!

Well first of all you def should get a pair that r for u and not 2 sizes too big for you. Buy a 2’ heel and I think that a little strap that goes around your ankle would be good for you to give you more stability. Then wear them all the time, everywhere even at home chillin to get use to them. Don’t worry you will master it in no time and look like you have worn them all your life.. Good Luck!

i have to admit... in the long run, shoes aren't that important for the dance... if your school is like my school, you won't be wearing them for most of the night... so you may want to practice with the ones you have on, but i assure you, that will only be for the pre-dance things you have planned. i'm pretty sure you'll be able to wear spikey heels in no time if you practice, but really... 1.5 inch heels does not equal "the conservative catholic middle school image" if you can't get the hang of heels by the time homecoming comes around, just wear what you are comfortable with... your date or your gang of friends that you go with shouldn't care... and if they really have a problem with it... they aren't really good friends... i had a friend wear slippers(as in... really fuzzy black slippers, so, the color was right, but of course, style was totally off) to our turnabout dance... that's how little it truly matters... but goodluck anyways

Wear them around the house and you'll get the hang of it. Practicing walking up and down stairs is important.
