I cannot tell you anything about lyrical but I am a 13 year old ballet dancer my self and let me tell you that it is extremely difficult and takes a lot of commitment. You have to be prepared to work very hard but in the end it is gratifying (in performances and such). I reccomend that you try it. I doubt that you will ever wish you hadn't because it is a wonderful and very unique thing to participate in.

cBallet is the foundation of European concert dance. Lyrical Jazz is the correct term. It is a slower form of Jazz Dance that uses the line and control of ballet. The music however is not classical and the costuming is typically a flowy dance dress. It can be danced solo or with a partner. You should do it!
