The original Jackson 5 from oldest to youngest are:
1) Jackie
2) Tito
3) Jermaine
4) Marlon
5) Michael
Jackie was the first to leave the group because he was tired of watching over his younger brothers and his father's pressure to sing and not have freedom.
Tito was the second to leave the group because he wanted to be with his girlfriend instead of his brother's group which his father did not approve of.
Jermaine was the third to leave the group because of also his girlfriend which his father did not approve neither.
Marlon and Michael were still in the group, just the two of them. Later Michael decided he wanted to go solo as he gotten older. Later on in his teen years he started to think he was ugly which made him change his facial appearance. What made him change his hair appearance was that when he was performing, Beat it, on stage his hair caught on fire from the sparkles.

The primary members of the group were all the sons of Katherine and Joseph Jackson: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Michael, and Randy. Reynaud Jones and Milton Hite were added as the band became more popular. The group disbanded in 1990 for several reasons: one being the brothers were at odds with Michael and their father. Joseph tried his best to keep the boys not only together, but he wanted to maintain complete control of the group, management and recording. As the boys grew into their manhood and affirmed their relationships with others, they found their father's influence unwelcomed. Michael, being the most talented and sensitve of the group surrounded himself with moguls who guided him toward a solo career and Michael wanted to go in that direction. He was always torn between leaving his 'family' (he is very family orientated) and going solo, but his art and career and need to sing overruled his father and group's decision. After Michael left and had hit album after hit album, his work and talent overshadowed his brothers. Everybody knew that Michael was the most talented in the group and the other members not being able to register on the talent meter only made the relationship between the family members more difficult. I had a chance to perform with this group back in the day and always saw love in that family - but fierce competition.

I didn't know they ever became 6. But the members were Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, Tito and Michael.
