Aya Hoshino from Super GALS! Although she can be so weak and mild-mannered sometimes, she's really pretty and intelligent. I also like Cagalli Yula Atha (Cagari Yura in Japanese) from Gundam SEED, as well as her soulmate in the series, Athrun Zala. They're both really complex and realistic characters.
They're not like the "perfect people" stereotypes in anime today (think Lacus Clyne from Gundam SEED and Belldandy from Oh My Goddess). I hate those kind of characters.

Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist on Cartoon network as for the other cartoons i like. I absolutely Love The Venture Brothers and also Code name kids next door. Both are also on Cartoon Network.

My favorite is Tifa Lockheart, but she is not on a tv show. She is from a series of movies & video games (which you may have heard of) called Final Fantasy. The most recent movie is Final Fantasy VII Advent Children & I highly recommend it!!

That Naruto show...I like it's graphics...used to like Dragon Ball before it became so unreal....
