Your cervix (the opening to your uterus) is blocked when you are pregnant so no sperm will get close to the baby. Your baby is also protected by a sac filled with amniotic fluid. You should be careful to take good care of yourself while pregnant, eat well and get adequate rest, and ask your doctor if you have any concerns or worries about specific or unusual symptoms. Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's better to be safe than risk your health or that of your baby.

Congratulations and good luck.

Well I have a few pieces of advice for you which you can use or not, but I have had alot of experience with this as I have 5 children, ages 10 months -12 years!
First of all if this is your first baby I would recommend that you read every pregnancy book you can get your hands on, so that when the time does come to have this baby that way you will not be in the dark! A few of my favorite books were WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING and YOUR PREGNANCY WEEK BY WEEK
These will tell you everything the doctor will tell you and more, if you can not afford to buy them try the local library!

Also any one that tells you sex will hurt your baby is an idiot! If you have a normal pregnancy and are not high risk any doctor will tell you that sex is safe through out your pregnancy! The baby is completely protected inside the amniotic sac and nothing can harm the baby! The thing that would harm your baby the most is if you smoke, drink or do drugs! Anything that you take into your body in that manner goes to the baby!
I have sex with all my kids, some of them the same day they were born, before my water broke!
If you feel uncomfortable during sex, you can try another position or lubrication! Your boyfriend will have to just be patient with you because the farther along you get it may make it harder to find something that works!
I hope and pray for you and your baby's sake, that your boyfriend is loving and supportive cause that is extremely important as pregnant woman can be very emotional!

I hope this helps you and I pray the best of luck for you and God bless!

At the tip of the day, it is your resolution and every person can do is present their opinion and revel in on this predicament. Personally, I would not abort as I do not see Down's syndrome as a extreme ample incapacity to justify it. In yet another 2 weeks, your little one is feasible and stands a well threat of survival external of the womb. Several infants have survived in neonatal extensive care models from 22 weeks gestation onwards. Whilst there are a few well being headaches generally related to the syndrome, plenty of Downs youngsters reside incredibly completely happy lives. I've recognized a couple of in my existence and I can actually say that they have been plenty happier than a number of the unaffected youngsters I realize. They also are very loving. My mum is aware of a Downs girl in her overdue twenties who's truthfully an actress and has her possess dwelling. I might propose you speak to a counsellor earlier than doing some thing drastic as they're neutral and will present a few fairly well recommendation. In addition to this, you might pass and spot your health care professional and discover out what taking care of a youngster with Downs truthfully includes. At the tip of the day, that is nonetheless your little one. Abortion isn't anything to be taken evenly and will purpose you everlasting mental harm. If you make a decision to keep along with your being pregnant, if it is tricky or no longer, you are going to modify to having a youngster who demands slightly additional care. I desire you control to arrive a resolution that you're completely happy with and desire you all of the first-rate for the long run.

The sperm itself will not hurt your baby. Continued sex can be encouraged as it keeps father and mother close. Later on, female orgasms may help start labor.

The only problem is if sex feels painful to you. If it does, then try a different position (side by side works well for many couples). If that does not work, the you should stop, or finish via other methods.

Don't worry... Having sex and having sperm in you does not harm the baby.

Now, during the last couple of months, sex may be uncomfortable, and be painful to you. But the baby will not be harmed.

If you notice that you lost your mucus plug, then don't have sex at all. Or if your leaking your waters.

The mucus plug is what keeps out foreign material and infections, from reaching the baby. Also, sex during the last month could trigger early labor.

Talk to your OB-GYN about your concerns.

Sex is very good for you while you are pregnant and it will not hurt the baby. The only reason sex wouldn't be good is if your doctor tells you not to because of the energy you use during.

So enjoy because I hear it is harder to have sex when you are big.

Your cervix is closed up tight...nothing is going to get through to hurt the baby. So semen just goes as far as the cervix.
