If the plane's tank is full, and they have a crash, then there would be an explosion and a bigger fire. That is why or one of the major reasons that the 9/11 terrorist picked the plane that was leaving from New York going to California because the fuel tanks were full and they new that a full tank of aviation fuel would cause more damage and burn longer and hotter.

could overload the landing gear. On takeoff, the load is reduced form normal weight to none on the gear.
On landing, the gear must support the weight of the plane, plus absorb the load caused the downward motion of the plane as it hits the runway. This will be more than normal takeoff weight

It is because of the added weight. I think they are designed to be able to, if necessary, but it is not ideal. The tires could explode do to the weight of the plane and fuel.
