My greatest moment was when I stopped putting up with my brother abuse. He had been hitting me for years, and I always excused him, and then one day, it was like the blinder came off, and I realized, this is not ok, no normal, and not my fault. It won't stop until I do something, since my parents knew and did nothing but wring their hands. So I told him if he ever touched me again, ever, I would call the cops and have him thrown in jail. If he ever talked to me, I would ignore him, he was to simply leave me alone, because he wasn't worth the hurt he had caused.
My saddest moment was when I held my dog's head in my lap as the vet put her to sleep.
