When will the type of music today change. No a days Rap and Hip Hop seem to be the most popular. When will this music fade away? All music seems to fade away. With the Oldies type music from the 50's, classic Rock from the 70's, Metal hair bands for the 80's, and Boy bands from the 90's. it seems like everything is about rap and hip hop. When do you think that this type of music will fade away and what new type of music do you think will take over? This type of music will be around but It wont be #1 forever.

I believe that no matter how old we are or what year we're in, there is always gonna be a type of music that is "IT". It's just something that we gotta live with I guess. It's really when something new comes out, usually the majority of ppl are into it so it's considered "popular". And no matter what the minority thinks, it's gonna continue. But btw, I feel the EXACT same way. Though the whole rap and R 'n B aren't exactly my favorite type of music. hehe

Well, it seems that a lot of rap has gotten less popular than it was a year ago.

But at the moment, pop-punk bands like Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy are huge, which is not good.

I think we'll see a lot more pop punk, everyone will get sick of it, and something entirely different will start.

At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I think rap and hip-hop are becoming less popular. I hear alot more RnB,Pop,Rock on the radio. I think RnB or Rock will take over for Rap and hip hop. Unless Boy Bands,Techno, and Bubblegum pop comes back. I miss the 90's....

music will always go in a cycle. It will fade a way when people collectively become more intellectual. Classical music, the most intelligent form of music, will be the most popular form of music. Pop stars will fade away, and the world may face another Renaissance age.

Its scary to think about it, since each year just gets worse and worse and worse!!! I don't even know how this crap gets aired in the first place. Who are these people, who are supposedly talent finders? I'd like to meet some of them so they can explain to me how 99% of these so called talents even got a record deal in the first place???There is no talent in rap. It ain't even music. Oh gag!!!

I don't see it as #1.
