she is learning new things and she is excited about it, it is a phase it should go away, my son did that it is frustrating, but once they get used to the fact that they can do all these new things she should get back on her sleeping pattern. you could also ask her doctor if there is something you can do. good luck

My son Is 8 months and he started doing that about 2 weeks ago, well He usally sleeps with a binkie and his fav blanket, so I just keep laying him down, over and over, and putting the binkie in his mouth or i wait till i see him rubbing his eyes then i know he wont play for to long in his crib, but also i just learned to put him in there earlier, like you said she takes an hour to fall asleep so then if you put her a 9pm then now put her at like 8:30 let her burn her energy with some toys, books music and then she should pass out, then go back in take out the toys. Or put her in bed with you and pillows around and act like your falling asleep and ignore her ( this is at night ) and she will get the point.

She's learning new things.. she's excited about her new-found abilities and she doesn' want to stop.. It's a phase, it will pass.. just leave her there to cry, but for a max of 15 mins.. after that she's not going to remember what she was crying about and it will just seem to her like "abandonment". So go back in and give her a kiss and a hug.. lay her back down..

Do you stay in there with her when you put her to bed?
Assuming she is reacting to your leaving the room, stay there, lay her back down if she sits up and rub her back and talk softly to her or sing softly. Keep rubbing her back and it should relax her enough to go to sleep because she will not be reacting to your leaving the room. (of course you can leave once she is asleep).

She wants to play and when you put her down shes not ready for bed. Wait that extra hour playing with her then by the time you put her down she will be ready for bed.
