It has also been said by some people that the moon is made of cheese. Come on! Some people argue that the photographs showing the American Flag horizontally are fake because there is no wind on the moon. The flag is horizontal because it was held in place by a horizontal rod. Besides, what possible reason would NASA have to fool the world? Finally, other nations were observing and listening to the radio transmissions from the moon. If this had been a hoax, they would have told the world.

Yes, it's been said by conspiracy theorists that the photographs of the lunar landings were fakes and taken on a sound stage somewhere in Arizona. However, most of the conspiracy theorists are just that: theorists. They have their own agenda and don't want to believe that anything like a lunar landing could have taken place. Personally, I feel that the amount of people needed to fake something like a lunar landing would have been along the scales of the amount of people that were needed to actually do it. I believe that we went to the moon for the first time in 1969 and went there for the last time in 1972.
On July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed in The Sea of Tranquility on the moon, while Ed Collins orbited the moon in the lunar orbiter command craft. Neil Armstrong was teh first person to step out of the lunar landing craft and make physical, personal contact with the surface of the moon. When he did so, he uttered his famous quote: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind." After that, Buzz Aldrin quietly steped from the lunar lander onto the surface of the moon as well.
The only conspiracy would be about Neil Armstrong's quote. At the time, NASA held a press conference and claimed that Mr. Armstrong said, "One small step for *a* man; one giant leap for mankind." Of course, that's what he was *supposed* to say. However, when he had to speak from the surface of the moon, with most of the developed world watching or listening, he got a little bit of stage fright and messed up his lines. Yes, his lines. He didn't make up that quote on the spot; that was what NASA wanted him to say as his first transmission from the surface of the moon.

The rumor was that the whole thing was filmed on a sound stage at Norton Airforce base in San Bernardino CA.
Honestly I doubt that. If the lunar landing was a hoax then I would have to believe someone would have blown the whistle by now. That mission involved 1000's of people and to think 1 of them would not have come forward is highly unlikely.

Yes, it is truth. It was, and still is, one of the greatest accomplishments in human history. And we did it not once, but six times. Tens of thousands of people were involved, over a 14-year time span ('61 to '75) and three Presidents (two Democrats and one Republican). Three astronauts died (Apollo 1), and three nearly died (Apollo 13). All 32 astronauts were risking their lives.
It is a feat worth remembering with pride. People who call it a hoax dishonor a *lot* of good and brilliant people who dedicated, and in many cases *risked*, their lives to the project.
Others have done so, but I also highly recommend the following web site:

Yes and Buzz Aldrin and several others in later missions. People who say it was a hoax are always looking for conspiracies in everything. I don;t pay any attention to them.
