It was war and the Nazi's didn't care who, what or when they bombed. They bombed England and killed civilians- they bombed France and killed civilians- they bombed Poland and killed civilians. With the type of blanket bombing they did there is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind at all that, yes... they got some ambulances in the process.
I don't believe that ambulance bombing is at the top of anyone's list no matter which side... unless the enemy leader is in the ambulance or a stash of weapons-- then you may want to bomb it. I don't believe an ambulance is a "priority" target outside of that. It's probably more of an 'oops, didn't mean to do that'.

Yes, and so did we. Over 50% of the U.S. bombs dropped on Germany targetted civilians, including hospitals, and not the military.
