Fess up! We're all way, way off base sometimes. I'll start:

In my freshman year of college, one of the lymph nodes on the back of my neck swelled up, and it had never done that before. I was terrified that it was a blood clot (two family members had died of strokes in the past year) and that it was inching toward my brain, only to kill me while I slept. My room mate had to wearily explain to me that it was just a swollen lymph node and that I probably wasn't going to die anytime soon unless she killed me out of frustration.

Up until I was eleven, I got the words 'enema' and 'enigma' confused. I was corrected when I told my father that my uncle was an enema.

So what are some of YOURS? Share, discuss!

I used to believe that the oil gauge on cars? F means "full". And E means "enough to go home...." . This lasted till I was about 15 and started riding a motorcycle around.

I used to believe that people who have good memories? Are usually unimaginative and dead inside. It is very untrue.
