Sheer laziness. Or ignorance.

I think it has to do with laziness, not just on the part of person themselves, but the teachers as well. Teachers don't take time with their students, especially if they are having problems. Therefore we are placing more and more ignorant people out into the work place and it just "evolves" from there. Also, we have such a conglomeration of nationalities and languages in this country today that it's not as easy to understand one another as it once was. I do think we need one uniform language, and I think it should be the American language. All our immigrants can practice their own languages in their own homes ( especially if they want their children to speak more than one language), but as far as schools, work places and the like, I think we should all be of one voice. I understand that with computers many of us have taken shortcuts and have started abbreviating words that never had abbreviations before. This is fine for chatting on line, but in the REAL world a person should also be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with no shortcuts or slang.

Typo's are understandable and, mostly, forgivable. However the current amount of mis-spellings and poor grammar on a site such as this is unnecessary. To evolve the language would have to improve not digress. Abbreviations are always acceptable as long as the abbreviated is understandable as its intended part.

The evolution of language is a state from very first day of its formation....so nothing is wrong or bad about it. But what I gathered from your question is you are worried much about the way the fellows on Q&A platform put their questions and answers too. Yes, I myself have detected so many spelling and grammatical mistakes, but this far I have become sensible enough to churn out the probable meaning from their saying. Its a kind of knowledge too. Even yourself have made some spelling mistakes....but does it matter ? No....as I got successfully core of your saying...and thats I think is the major achievement of learning and developing the way of languages.
Well....many who have answered the question have correctly pointed out the major reason : "Lazyness".

Shocking. Disgraceful. Evidence of moral decay. "I just can't believe it."
Some q'uestion's and an'd an'swer's even have apo'strophe's where t'hey shouldn't.
Wherea's I'm jus't perfect.
More seriously I suspect a lot of it is people trying to feel so important that they don't have to conform. Like turning up at a formal event in torn ragged jeans.
Some is likely laziness, some genuinely not having absorbed the benefit of an education which large proportions of the world population would starve in order to offer it (the education) to their children.

It's laziness. You're right there is no such language as American. It's just a distorted form of English.

Laziness and bad education. But perhaps the english language is evolving and, if you think about it, teenagers have invented a clever way of saying whatever's needed in the clever way of abbreviation. It can develop good short-hand skills, I think.

More likely people who don't have english as they're first language. Also a culture of abbreviation for text messaging.

Question's what? And answer's what?
Apostrophe S is for singular possessive.
S is for pluralization.
Of course the language is evolving, but some people are just really stupid or really lazy.

Pure laziness, it's not difficult to type out the full word but it seems that it's too hard for some people.

I can see that you are lazy. Also you spelled a lot of words wrong. But don't feel bad. Sometimes I deliberately do it when I am tired or feel lazy. As long as you get your point across it is okay.
