well because there are words like honky tonk & places like cracker barrel. I never heard a person of African descent or of African-American name a show the "N1gga Show" or a place to eat the "****** Restaurant". However I was watching "America's Got Talnet". When these kids that were doing dunks off of trampolines, when they were done the kids were asked what they though of another act a the kid replied, "That n1gga was wack". They did not censor it either. Either way calling anyone ****** or N1gga is insulting. However being white i don't find it insulting for someone to call me cracker, hinky, snowcone etc..etc..

Sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me!!! Ever heard that before? People have a very short memory, fact is the first time that the name Ni--er was ever used was long before any slave was ever taken out of Africa.
In 1104 AD the British invaded Ireland and put to death or enslaved all it's people. Irish people were not allowed to own land, vote or have any rights. They were bought, sold, raped, disembowled, and hanged on a whim. They were the first people called Ni--ers, and were called that for centures.
The Irish People were held in this slavery position until 1921 when they obtained their freedon.
Over 800 years, longer then any other race or group of people on this planet.
The difference is that even thru this, we maintained a sence of self esteme and worth. We also didn't call each other by the nanes that we were called by our captors.
The black community has made some inroads into being able to rise up above these problems, but it started from within, not from without. Laws and rules do not make self esteme or morals, families do.
Black men in america need to become men, and teach and live proper man hood and father hood. There have been Black colledges since the 1800's and Black business men and women since then too. The Irish overcame by supporting each other and working together not against each other. Stop the drugs, killing, prostitution, and unmarried pregancyes and quit fighting yourselves. Your Americans, in America. You have more choices then anyone else in the world. Many of you are great and good people doing what's right, the rest are a disgrace but I still have hope for them.
Call me what you like, It's only words, I control my emotions not anyone else.

Its reverse racism. We are accused of being the original racists, allthough that is a bogus claim because there has been racism since the dawn of our early cave dwelling ancestors, and so now we have to suffer too. Maybe we should start some all caucasian universities or gentlemens clubs, oops, those are too fresh in the memory aren't they? But try registering at an all black or hispanic university or college or club, they do exist. For what I can't imagine, such a lack of diversity. Maybe we could just genetically alter all embryos so we all have the same skin and hair, I would go for a mediterranean look, like they have in Sicily, olive skin, redish blonde hair and green eyes. As old as these words are, they are censored because they have been related to deaths of what some may call a visible minority. Though, I like to refer to them as Invisible Minority, because we exist but are never seen, unless a crime is committed.
Check out the out the new movie about the World Trade Center, almost 40% of those who died saving lives and being saved where people of color, yet this movie has almost no people of color in it.
The true fact of the matter is the there are two separate words, the original was "niggard" and being "*********," meaning someone who is selfish and stingy; the other was a racist word for people of African descent.
Both have a place in history, and describe person of all colors, races and ethnic groups.
these other two word, honkie and cracker, have never caused death, prejudice, bias, or any form of violence.

I ask the same thing over and over again. I stopped counting the times I've been called honkie, cracker, white b**** and etc. It's all not right--a double standard. I've heard children, who were the product of interracial relationships called zebras and mutts and these things were uttered from the mouths of blacks--and this, from the very people who gave the children life.

Due to the history of the terms. The "n" was used out of hatred and racism but cracker and honkie came out of anger. The term ****** was used to say black people were inferior, lazy, stupid, and ignorant. But, what does cracker and honkie mean anyway? They were just a retaliation term that don't really mean nothing.

Because Caucasians don't scream discrimination when those words are used, but some African Americans use discrimination as a crutch. They use it to get something for nothing or sometimes they do it just for their 15 minutes. I am not accusing all African Americans fo this just the few that do thrive on a part of the past that they actually had nothing to do with. They just want a free ride on their ancestors coattails.

Because Cracker and Honkie don't affect people the way the other 2 words do. Must be because they don't have decades of racial oppression attached to them. Go figure.

Mainly because a word like "cracker" is a double-entendre. It doesn't ALWAYS mean a derogatory term for caucasian people. Sometimes it's just talking about food. On the other hand, the first two terms are pretty exclusive- they only mean one thing and everyone knows what it is.

because Cracker is something you eat also. So it'd be weird if someone asked "do you like cheese on your cracker?" and cracker came out like this "*******" right? Honkie.... ummm, i don't know why they don't sensor that, maybe there is a different spelling, man.
