Were blacks killed by the hundreds of thousands? No. The thing that you need to remember black slaves were sold by black people. I think you are misinformed about teh meaning of a holocaust.

That is definitely a number pulled out of thin air. If you mean slavery cost black people a hundred million you are smoking crack. All the ships of the slave era working at nothing but slaving could not have moved a hundred million people.
The descendant's of slaves are likely far more numerous then they would have been in Africa where conditions are less comfortable so I would go out on a limb and predict that slavery actually created more rather then fewer blacks.
As for them losing nationality, well they never had it did they? They came from tribal cultures not nations, unusually they where the tribes on the losing side of the vicious wars inside Africa that continue to this day.
Slavery was no picnic, but virtually every people have been enslaved from time to time. The Romans enslaved the English and Germans, the Persians enslaved the Jews, the Mongols enslaved the Chinese. It is not a unique feature or experience in history.
The slavery of Blacks had some unique features, it was easier to spot a slave then usual and the cultural disparity was the highest ever, and instead of freeing themselves in revolution they where just freed by decree, but there was certainly never a Holocaust of black slaves, that would have been unprofitable.

And where would this 100 million people be lost?
Just say theoretically thy were not lost as in lost puppy; but were killed. That is enough bone dust leave a very easily detectable record. So where is this pile of 100 million skeletons?
For a moment, look at the infrastructure that Mao and Hitler needed to kill there masses. Where is the evidence of a infrastructure big enough to double Mao and best Hitler by 1000%
Back tracing population curves shows that the world has boomed in inhabitants in this last century. As you go back in time to a moment in history when this could have happened (socially) the population and resources did not exist to exterminate those numbers.
Why don't you go back to your latest copy of Super Homie and see if those numbers are correct.
Even venerable sources like Yahzoo answers has been known to have a typo.

Unfortunately, America although they do not consider themselves murderers, they are and they toil in order to maintain there prefect image. Today the youth of our nation is led to not question the past. our text books our teachers do not look at the underling story. Being black myself, I see it as accountability and ownership. The Jewish people lost there lives on foreign soil. So it was a problem "over there". As you and I know, the way it is no one ever wants to let the skeletons out of there own closets. So as we go alone people like you that ask the questions are going to be few and far between. Don't give up, perhaps you may earn the right of adding a new page in the school textbook of African American struggle.

Many American people, myself included, have been very responsive to the needs of black people and have been generous in "reparation" for the slavery era, which ended many generations ago. Bear in mind that slavery existed in Africa long before it did in America, and that the people who became slaves in America were hunted and captured by other black Africans who sold them for that purpose.
Your statements about "hush, hush" in schools and history books, and no land grants, are totally false. Are you REALLY looking for better understanding?

You really should have phrased your question better. Genocide occurs in Africa all the time. They are the ones that make up the majority of the 100 million people who died. The holocaust was different because the Jewish people were sent to certain death. The whole purpose of the camps was to kill them. Africans were used and abused, but not massacred

Big difference between Jews and African Americans.
#1) Jews had a homeland that they lost (to the different empires that conquered them).
In 1948, there was no Jewish homeland at all anywhere in the world.
Blacks came from African nations so they can't say they don't have a homeland. I wouldn't say "go back to Africa", that's rude, but please don't complain that you don't have a "nationality". Blacks all have a nationality, they just would rather not go back to it because of how much better things are for them in the US. If you complain that you're not being treated fairly in the US, try the African nations. Yup... I didn't think you'd be interested.

100 million blacks are lost? What? Are you saying they were killed? Is it a combination of killing and slave trade? What is your reference for this assertion? You're black, try to find out where your ancestors came from in Africa. If you were born here in American then that's your nationality, you're an American. My ancestors came from Germany in the 1820's on my mom's side, and in the 1890's on my father's side, but I'm not a German,I'm an American. The great thing about America is our freedom, you are free to trace your "roots" and move back to where your ancestors started, if you choose to do so. Africa is a huge continent, plenty of land. OR when you speak of granted land,do you mean reparations? If so, do we tax only people who's ancestors had slaves? It wouldn't be fair to tax my family,as we had no slaves, and fought and died in the Civil War to free the slaves and preserve the union. We all started out somewhere, but that's not nearly as important as where we are now and what we do with our future.Best of luck in your future.

Interactions of Africans and Europeans during 16-19th centuries have in the end improved the former's quality of life: savages in Africa lived on overage no longer than 25 years, there was tremendous violence, diseases, periodic famine etc. Besides, it was the only possible mode of interaction between cultures, development of which had been so different. Anyway, American Blacks have today the highest living standard among all Black peoples in the world. Thank you, White brother...

Hush, hush? Slavery and the civil war was a secret? Actually Liberia was established by returned slaves, but that was stopped due to lack of interest in the ex slaves wanting to leave.

You might want to check your facts. 100million? Nationality? Would you like to go back to Africa? You wouldn't last a minute. Why would anyone give you land? Every race on earth has been a slave at one point or another. Get over it. What makes the black people special that they have to be handed something just because there DISTANT relatives were held captive.
