yes, you will be starting anytime soon. Just be sure to keep a pad/tampon in your purse, just in case you start somewhere you are not familiar with...
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

You mention a disharge, and some is normal before starting periods, yet others could signal infection. Normal is very light (the ovum - or egg) disintegrating (girls begin this prior to starting periods), however that would be odd that you would be doing this for an entire year and still not have your period. You are 14 (most girls begin at 12 or 13), so I would rerally suggest you see your docor (gynecologist). Have your mother make an appointment. Better safe than sorry. Couldn't hurt to check it out.

first of all, enjoy not having them since once you start, it seems they're never ending. second, the discharge is probably the body 'warming up' to this major event. since i'm not a doctor, i would advise you strongly that if you do not start having your period/cycle by the age of 15, go see a doctor. it might be nothing but why chance it? not every woman begins at 11 or 12. some begin as early as 10, others will start, like you, later on in their teen years. but go to the doctor's & have him or her check it out if you do get something w/in the next few months, ok? then when you know everything is ok, sit back, enjoy your life and smell the roses. have a blast. it only happens once, damn it!

This is perfectly normal. Lots of girls get vaginal discharge for half a year to two years before they get their periods. You'll probably get yours within the year or so.

i have had all those signs since 5th grade, and I just started and I'm going into 9th grade. it's completely normal that you haven't started yet.. just be patient and wait!
I also had discharge for a couple years before I started, so it's not a huge deal if you don't get your period about a year after.

No doubt about it, but just to be on the safe side, a trip to the doctor is in order. This is not just a guess. I am a nurse who specializes in obstetrics & gynacology. Good luck.

Probaby.
Don't worry about it though, stress can lead to your period stopping (once you have it and its regular etc etc).
It'll start when it's ready, and untill then be thankful you don't have it yet!!!
