My best friend is also my roommate. Everything I do, she does. I signed up to go back to college and she did it, even the same exact courses. If I go to bed, she goes to bed. If I do something silly, she tries to do it. I am getting so aggravated. What can I do to make her stop?

Shes you best friend.... Talk to her. Plus it should make you feel good that she loves you so much that she wants to be like you... Maybe she is trying to get closer to you, maybe she feels your aggravated and she thinks that being like you will make you better frinds. Talk to her let her know it bothers you....

I had this same issue with a friend of mine.
This is what i did..I started to act out side my nature and act in the way. That others would think that i a goofy. When my firiend did the goofy things i did then everyone laughed at him and he slowly began to quit acting like me.
Wish this idea works for you.

Don't worry about. Try to respect her search for herself, that's all she's really doing, and apparently she's impressed with you. Take it as a compliment, and maybe you can suggest other things for her do when she's imitating you. I don't know, if you just can't stand it I guess I would do what I could to avoid her. Don't let her control your direction and make you miserable though, just pay attention to the rest of your life and be cool with it.

Switch rooms. Seriously. Not to offend her to but to save your friendship and if she asks, 'why', tell her honestly how you feel. It may hurt her but atleast you aren't lying.
Either that, or in a humourous way just keep repeating the fact that she's a copycat and she keeps copying what you do. In a humourous way though so atleast she gets the hint.

Two options provided :) Good luck.

Talk to your roommate about there likes and intrests. Then do something your roommate likes to do that you normally wouldn't. The trick here is to encourage them and instill enough self confidence that they are comfortable doing there own thing.

First, you need to find out why she is doing it. Then explain to her that she needs to find her own identity. That can be kind of creepy like that movie Single White Female without the psychotic part.

Immitaion is the most sincere form of flattery. Tell her she needs to be herself even though you are flattered.
